Application Infrastructure Engineering leads the delivery of infrastructure capabilities that emphasize the collaboration between development and infrastructure to meet business needs. This is done by providing technology services that are agile, timely, cost-effective, and risk appropriate. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience with public and private cloud technologies, container orchestration, and datacenter networking. The successful candidate should be able to communicate complex technical concepts and architectures both verbally and in written forms to senior leadership as well as to the engineering and operations teams.

• 10+ years of Experience in IT field
• 3-5 years’ experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with multiple Cloud services with hands-on reference of implementation.
• Extensive knowledge in designing and configuring Cloud services for rapid deployment of compute and storage resources in defined configurations
• Have knowledge and experience in design environments that adhere to the industry best practices

• Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader.
• Experienced in planning and managing cloud and data center migrations.

• Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and a decision maker
• Experience with cloud-native architecture
• Experience with cloud computing platforms (Amazon AWS, GCP)
• Experience with containers (Openshift Platform/Docker/Kubernetes)
• Experience with client/server enterprise java j2EE web application development
• Experience with key application middleware (WAS, Tomcat)
• Experience in systems scalability and performance optimization
• Experience with continuous integration tools (Jenkins, RTC, RLM)
• Experience with cloud migration patterns specially with CSP data platform adoption
• Ability to develop prototypes for proving out new technology solutions
• Knowledge of security solutions – authentication, entitlements, encryption, MFA, Federation
• Application support with industry knowledge of ITIL service management principles; and
• Technical understanding that spans multiple platforms and application level understanding of a portfolio of applications with broad knowledge of the business strategic priorities, in order to resolve complex problems.
• Operate in an agile software delivery methodology environment that is highly focused on developing, deploying and enhancing build pipelines for projects.
• Design, develop and enhance an infrastructure that supports cross organizational collaboration.

Supervision Requirements:

• Manage the coordination of the activities of a department with the responsibility for results, including costs, methods and staffing.
• Provides direction for administrative and / or technical people and / or complex activities.
• Assign tasks, supervise, mentor and complete timely performance evaluations.
