Zero Point seeks an experienced Senior Engineering Project Manager to specify, procure, install, operate, and maintain a variety of industrial systems and processing equipment. This Senior Engineer performs a variety of tasks, will provide consultation and direction on complex projects and will be a top-level contributor/specialist. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Applicants should have extensive experience in the areas of Systems or Electrical Engineering support and best practices, paired with application in the design, implementation, and integration of disparate systems. Experience in biological, chemical, or industrial systems is preferred. This Engineer investigates and analyzes unique or highly technical manufacturing systems and provides technical assistance in establishing procedures and methods to integrate support. You will evaluate complex programs and measures to assess the efficacy of integrations.

• Serving as Senior Engineer Project Manager to control development of assigned R&D technology development
• Drive engineering project execution, develop and recommend technical guidance, track and report on status, and resolve blocking issues
• Coordinate cross-team efforts spanning internal customers and external partners.
• Interfacing with external agencies supporting systems engineering, architecture, and/or design
• Performing Functional Allocation; Create and Maintain Specifications
• System Integration & Verification
• Supporting System Deployment Develop and review Factory, Installation and Performance Acceptance Testing Documents
• Developing Requirements Verification Strategies and Plans
• Developing Integrated Systems Security Solutions
• Conduct, Document and Sign off on the testing referenced above
• Scope the Industrial Control System Hardware and Software Requirements for a given industrial process
• Write specifications manufacturers will use to prepare labor and material cost estimates
• Review cost estimates, Process Flow Diagrams, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams, Detailed Mechanical Drawings, and Detailed Electrical Drawings
• Travel to customer facilities to assist with technical issues.
• Developing and maintaining process sheets, work instructions and other documentation for production
• Provide subject matter expertise with system analysis, design, delivery, verification, and troubleshooting of designated systems.
• Generate technical documents, such as test plans and procedures.
• Provide technical input/feedback to the development team.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Systems or Electrical Engineering is preferred
• Chemical or Mechanical Engineering will be considered
• 2+ years experience as an engineering leader, project/program manager
• 8 years experience is required / 10 years experience is preferred
• Managing Change Control across several systems
• Demonstrated understanding of fundamental engineering concepts/principles/theories and standard engineering methodologies
• Proficiency with requirements management.
• Ability to clearly articulate, verbally and in writing, new concepts and capabilities to the team and customers
• Must be US Citizen
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS-SCI clearance.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

• This position requires weekly access to program data and requires residence within commuting distance of Southern Pines, North Carolina. Applicants must be willing to relocate to this area.
