Position SummaryWorks independently to provide financial and business-related analysis and insights. Researches, interprets, develops, and implements financial and accounting concepts and/or techniques for financial planning and assessment.
Supervisor Responsibilities
This position does not have formal supervisory responsibilities over other employees.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Conducts quantitative analyses of information affecting budgets, expenses, and other financial projects.
- Collects and analyzes financial information for assigned accounts, products or product lines, or business units to track the organization's progress against its financial goals.
- Reports current or expected financial performance and creates financial models to guide decision making.
- Develops gross revenue, trade spend, and cost of goods sold that allows for thorough analysis and identification of opportunities for improvement.
- Prepares executive level presentations and summaries of forecasting and planning information. This may include presentations to senior management and preparation for BOD presentations and meetings.
- Analyzes cash flow, expenditures, revenue, depreciation, and investments to make recommendations for action and/or modifications regarding financial procedures, plans, and controls.
- Assists in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, or annual financial statements.
- May check the work of less-experienced analysts.
- Perform related work as required.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 6 years of related work experience in mining, minerals, or related industry required with budgeting or analysis experience highly preferred.
- Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.

Work from home following initial in office training period and occasional evening or weekend work.
Typical Physical Demands
Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching. Requires constant data input for extended periods of time without leaving the work area. Occasionally lifting files or paper weighing up to 30 pounds. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports. Requires mobility sufficient to travel.
Typical Working Conditions
Normal office environment. Occasional evening or weekend work.
Education and Experience
