Job Summary:

The Corporate Finance Business Partner (FBP) is an integral member of our Corporate FP&A team. This person will serve as a partner to senior management by helping ensure that new programs and initiatives are aligned with both near term and long term financial and strategic objectives. The FBP will build partnerships with internal clients and take ownership for providing high quality financial analysis and guidance on financial performance to Senior Management. This individual will evaluate performance across multiple performance standards and provide excellent customer service for internal and external customers. Business Partners assist in ensuring financial targets are met by proactively finding solutions to implement operational strategies that improve financial results and maximize business opportunities. In addition to strong financial knowledge, the FBP must have a demonstrated ability to build relationships, influence leaders and think strategically.

Job Responsibilities:

  • In order to demonstrate success in the role, the FBP must work closely in a fast paced environment with NSC (National Support Center) partners to develop and help ensure that they stay within budget and forecast.
  • A successful FBP would, through analytics, understand and actively communicate underlying causes of variances as well as present variance analyses to senior staff in a simple, concise and easy to consume format.
  • A successful FBP will work closely with IT management in identifying, collaborating and evaluating business cases in support of IT strategic goals.
  • A successful FBP will also be able to appropriately challenge leaders throughout the organization to think strategically about the way they structure their teams and allocate resources in pursuit of organizational strategic priorities.
  • A successful FBP will gain an understanding of the key strategic priorities of the organization with an understanding of the “bigger picture” and perform analysis to ensure company resources are allocated efficiently in support of those priorities
  • A successful FBP will demonstrate intellectual curiosity and critical thinking that can solve problems and make recommendations based on self-directed work efforts
  • A successful FBP will work on ad-hoc projects and financial modeling as required, in support of strategic initiatives and pre/post investment analytics

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Finance or related field. MBA degree a plus.
  • At least 4 years’ experience in a similar position with a medium to large sized company.
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Experience in developing and/or the ability to understand complex financial models.
  • Good overall understanding of accounting principles and financial planning concepts.
  • Experience supporting Information Technology functional departments and leaders
  • Knowledge and understanding of large-scale complex IT projects
  • Advanced level skills in MS Excel.
  • Experience with macros with exposure to various specialized functions and features and Visual Basic a plus.
  • Intermediate level skills in MS Word and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in and/or strong understanding of financial reporting software a plus (specifically Oracle, Anaplan, TM1/Cognos, Hyperion Enterprise and Reporting software).
  • Strong problem solving, strategic thinking and analytical skills.
  • Detail orientation with high attention to quality and accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interact with various levels of management and develop strong working relationships inside and outside of the department.
