Amigo is looking for a full-time accountant at our location in Bridgeport, Michigan. Please read the position’s responsibilities below to determine whether you are a good fit:
Responsibilities:
- Implement controls to maintain assets and spending in proper levels
- Assist in the preparation and planning of yearly budgets
- Analyze month end financial statements and report on top issues and methods to improve
- Prepare various month end statements showing necessary items for review and change
- Inventory analyst – level accuracy and consistency of overall company numbers
- Sales tax returns preparation
- Reconciliations completed within 30 days of month end except at year end when 45 days is acceptable
- Prepare audit work papers each year in response to auditor requirements
- Work with various other auditors that analyze the company books and records providing them with timely and accurate answers
- Work with other departments to review financial information
- Streamline systems
Qualifications:
- Degree in Accounting from a four-year university
- Manufacturing experience preferred
- Attention to detail
- Financial Statement preparation experience
- Ability to work with various levels of management
- Proficiency in computers and spreadsheet software
- Continues to seek knowledge through books, podcasts and seminars
