Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible, in conjunction with the Director, for calculating, analyzing, and reporting the CECL allowance estimation. The Senior Financial Analyst will also assist in managing unique and novel accounting transactions, including mergers, divestitures, partnerships, and new accounting standards.

Specific Job Functions

• Monthly update of the CECL estimation application including data validation.
• Coordination with credit personnel for CECL estimate inputs.
• Preparation of quarterly CECL calculation, summary presentation and regulatory disclosures.
• Preparation of regular updates to Partnership, Divestiture and Purchase Accounting schedules and records.
• Assist the Director with research into novel accounting topics as needed.
• Develop and support policies and accounting summaries for special accounting projects, including joint ventures, tax credit investments, new products and other tasks.
• Respond to and research FDICIA and other audit requests for information on an as needed basis.
• Establish and maintain systems and controls which verify the integrity of all systems, processes, and data to enhance the Bank’s value.
• Respond to the CFO and Senior Management with accurate and timely financial information.
• Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports.
• Communicate with co-workers, management, clients, and others in a courteous and professional manner.

Minimum Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in the field of Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration is required.
• Minimum of five (5) years hands-on accounting or financial analysis experience required. Preferably with extensive general ledger use in a Bank.
• Two (2) years of bank auditing is preferred.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred.
• Candidate must live in one of the following states: Louisiana, Mississippi or Texas
• Strong analytical and financial skills required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Extensive supervisory and managerial skills.
• Ability to interact within all levels of the Bank.
