Job description

We are looking to recruit Senior Grade Psychologist to work with our Intellectual Disability healthcare client in Dublin South, Kildare and west Wicklow.

Applicant must possess the following:

· A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Clinical Psychology inclusive of time spent in pursuing a course leading to the postgraduate qualification and a member of the Psychological society of Ireland

· Have an Irish Post Graduate qualification accredited by the Psychological Society of Ireland in clinical, counselling, or educational psychology or an equivalent qualification validated by the Department of Health.

· A post-graduate professional qualification in psychology, recognized by the Psychological Society of Ireland.

· Hold a minimum QQI Level 8 Qualification in Psychology

· Experience of working with children with complex needs

· Excellent interpersonal, communication skills and strong command in English

Job Description

  • Work as a member of an Interdisciplinary Team
  • Be responsible for the delivery of professional psychology services appropriate to the post in line with best practice.
  • Work within limits of professional competence in line with principles of best practice, professional conduct and clinical governance.
  • To undertake assessment, therapy, appropriate interventions and preventative programmes in accordance with the professional competence of clinical psychologists
  • Undertake a key worker/key contact role as required
  • To undertake research in clinical psychology and to cooperate in research and to cooperate in research and evaluation programmes as appropriate.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: €84,271.00-€99,054.00 per year

  • 8 hour shift
