The Opportunity:
We are actively seeking a CEI Senior Inspector. The Inspector will be assigned to the Nashville, TN office. Qualified applicants will be able to demonstrate an established career in bridge and/or roadway construction inspection, with varying levels of experience depending on the inspector level. The Inspector will be responsible for inspecting construction work, and conducting field tests for compliance with contract documents
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Onsite inspection of roadway and bridge construction
- Monitoring on site construction activities.
- Supervise day to day activities of inspection staff.
- Review reports from inspection staff and write summary report of all construction activities.
- Assist with conducting inspections, observations and run materials tests and checking construction work.
- Maintain detailed records of daily operations.
- High school graduate or equivalent plus two (4) years’ experience in construction inspection, one (1) year of which shall have been in bridge and/or roadway construction inspection, or an Engineer Intern with a Civil Engineering degree (requires certificate) having the ability to earn the required qualifications and certifications within one year.
- Required Tennessee certifications, one or more of the following: Asphalt Roadway Technician, HMA Level 1, Concrete Level 1 & 2, Earthwork and Base, Foundations, Pavement Preservation, CEPSCI, etc.
