The Role
Executes the operation, reporting and continuous improvement of vulnerability management operations
Manages tools used for conducting and coordinating external attack surface scanning
Assess the criticality of security findings, collaborates with business owners to identify the appropriate remediation path and timeline
Manages and tracks the vulnerability remediation efforts across the organization and escalates as needed
Monitors and investigates security findings from third parties, incorporating into the vulnerability management program
Develops reports and metrics for Management and business partners to report the health of the vulnerability management program
Monitors for changes to our external attack surface
Assists with providing daily work direction, technical leadership and mentoring for team members.
Mentors and coaches team members, ensuring development plans are focused on enhancing skills and expertise
Collaborate with other IT security leaders to help remove obstacles and roadblocks that impact the performance of the overall global IT security team
Works with other IT security leaders to review the operation and effectiveness of resourcing programs within the organization and contributes ideas for changes and improvements
Communicates and assigns order to high-priority incidents
Adapts to change, acts as a change agent, and works effectively in a dynamic environment.
What You Offer
Bachelors Degree preferred, and/or equivalent experience
5+ years experience in threat and vulnerability management operations; using relevant tools
Agile development/methodologies preferred
Working knowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP, Dynamic Host Configuration, DNS, and directory services
Working knowledge in application and network security assessment methodologies, tools and techniques
Knowledge in regulations including GLBA, HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA, and other security frameworks preferred
CISSP, CEH, CCIE, CISM, Security+, or other security related frameworks preferred.
