Initiative Financial Services Group specialises in financing ESG assets, including the development of energy-efficient social and affordable housing. We originate, structure, finance and manage asset-backed loans on behalf of our private, institutional and pension clients, through our group companies.

As a Senior (or Junior) Underwriting Manager you will report directly to the Director of Lending. You will work to increase the scale and quality of the company’s loan pipeline by delivering quality loan assessment on our property development loans.

You will work with Credit & Legal Operations in the preparation of loan proposals and due diligence, working with our trusted professional service partners. As a price-leader for our target segment, we look to build lasting relationships with experienced, reliable developers.

The ideal candidates will have experience working in a similar role or function at a similar level in a commercial lending business, with experience within the Irish Property Finance Market or will be a newly qualified accountant or similar professional with commensurate experience.

Your Main Responsibilities will include:

- Review client cashflows for project viability

- Perform data analysis to credit policy, modelling KPI

- Produce credit papers inclusive of market and project research

- Perform initial due diligence on borrowers and projects

- Commission independent research from our partners

- Update Client Relation System (CRM / Salesforce)

- Liaise with legal counsel on loan closing

- Update central credit files with all documentation

- Performing ongoing loan monitoring including site visits as required

This is an ideal role for a Data Analyst, Accountant or Lending Professional who is highly competent in analysis but is also happy to engage directly with clients. The candidate must be open to ongoing additional training and study as part of their role. The candidate will ideally have experience or understanding of the Irish Property Market.

Required Minimum Experience / Skills:

- Excellent / Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills

- Minimum 1 - 3 years in Finance / Banking or Professional Services related to the Property Development Market or Accountancy

- Experienced with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint

- Flexibility to Travel with a Full Driving License

- Fluent English Essential with excellent written and spoken English

- Permission to work in Ireland

Desirable Experience (Not Essential) :

- Have worked in a similar role before

- 3rd Level qualification in related discipline

- Chartered Accountant / ACCA

- MBA or additional Business Qualifications highly desirable

- Experience with Wealth Management, Investment, Finance, Banking

- Flexibility to Travel with a Full Driving License
