POSITION DESCRIPTION
Senior Level Controller Remote Position
(Flexible from 10-20 hours per week)
Working together with its Federal/State grant program, the Lower Hudson Valley Perinatal
Network (LHVPN), which advocates for and educates consumers and professionals about perinatal, child and family health. CHRF/LHVPN mobilizes the community to eliminate disparities and improve the health of women, children and families in New York's Lower
Hudson Valley, which includes Rockland and Westchester.
Reports to: Board of CHRF and directly to the Executive Director CHRF
Position Summary:
We seek a professional to work as part of a team to handle CHRF ledgers for multiple grants to ensure accuracy and compliance with finance law. To enter our data into spreadsheets and bookkeeping software, compile reports, gather and organize bank statements, highlight discrepancies in CHRF records and research possible reasons for errors or differences in expected versus actual account balances. Mus be proficient in QuickBooks and Paychex payroll platforms.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Document transaction details, recording financial account and records
- Send payments to all vendors while tracking spending
- Put together financial reports, fact-checking accounting data
- To notify the Board of any accounting errors
- Record financial transactions related to grants
- Provide biweekly payroll data to Paychex system
- Provide grant voucher information for all grants
- Work with Budget Analysis to ensure budget line accuracy
- Work with Financial
- Track and manage financial data and create and maintain records
- Track Doctor Donor accounts expenses
- Track restricted and unrestricted accounts
Skills and Qualifications:
- An eye for detail.
- Payroll accounting skills.
- Highly effective verbal, listening, presentation and written communication skills. Must be comfortable in speaking to small groups.
- Ability to communicate complex data in a clear way.
- Exceptional organization skills.
