Job Summary:
We are currently recruiting for a “Senior Manager – Competitive Intelligence, Analysis & Strategy – Direct Materials” at our Roswell, GA headquarters. We are looking for someone with a high level of analytic and project management ability with Procurement experience. Proficiency in Excel and other data analytics, visualization and modeling tools is essential to analyze and communicate insights. The goal is to build analysis based upon a set of hypotheses and guide others to use the data to drive value added activities and decisions. We expect that the person is driven to ask themselves what the data means, how it can be interpreted and how to best communicate and present findings / metrics. This person should be highly organized with the ability to multi-task, potentially working on several projects at the same time while using standard processes. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently with leaders and customers is an asset. The aptitude to work tactically towards deadlines while understanding the strategic needs, relationship building skills at all organizational levels, willingness to be a team player and the right temperament for working under pressure will further strengthen the application. The role includes the development and leadership of a small team of data analysts located in various regional locations.
Responsibilities:
- Create, enhance, and deploy statistical and analytical models using both structured and unstructured data to inform growth decisions and strategies across our significant Direct Materials portfolio.
- Develop, lead, and manage a small team (up to four) of globally located analysts.
- Lead advanced analytics to assist categories with category strategy development, cost optimization, data analysis for large sourcing initiatives.
- Manage and analyze KC’s current and historical spend data to support construction of category strategies that will drive a competitive advantage for KC.
- Design, develop and deliver on simple to complex clean sheet models, TCO models and pricing models to assist categories to understand the opportunities and hence drive a negotiation advantage for KC.
- Identify and pursue continuous improvement opportunities on category-specific tools and processes such as price/cost database maintenance, RFX templates.
- Creating standard work, documenting best-practices, contributing to internal training exercises and reviewing third-party benchmarking studies.
- Support category leads during planning, development, and deployment of sourcing events.
- Utilize eSourcing platform both as an end user, a system administrator and an organizational trainer.
- Collaborate with Global & Regional Category Managers to execute strategic sourcing events, onboard & train users in global Procurement, create and maintain training and standard process documentation.
- Build and update reports/scorecard for all global categories incorporating key metrics such as quality performance, service, innovation and spend.
- Lead or heavily support RFX activities for categories, providing clear guidance and structure to the process as well as leading the analysis of supplier proposals.
Qualifications/Education/Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain/Procurement, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5 plus years’ experience with minimum of 3 plus years procurement experience.
- Prior experience in the consumer-packaged goods (CPG) industry is preferred.
- Ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization, including executive leaders.
- Extensive experience and knowledge with advanced excel as well as experience with other data tools: Tableau, statistical tools, SQL, etc.
- Strong analysis experience in which key findings have been translated into strategies to support business needs and management of quality
- Demonstrated ability in hypothesis building, advanced modeling and regression analysis.
- Proven strong written and oral communications skills in which you demonstrated effectiveness in a variety of formal presentation settings including senior executives.
- Strong business acumen
- Successful application of problem-solving methodology and innovative solution development.
- Led and delivered on multi-disciplined, multi-regional projects and demonstrated use of change management tools and methodology.
- Proven ability building and leading a high performing team.
