Senior Manager, CRM & Data Activation, Global Consumer Experience Organization

We’re looking for a CRM expert with deep experience gathering requirements, executing, and measuring impact of automated digital marketing programs. This leader will create capabilities to service the needs of regional teams in advancing the utilization and impact of CRM as a marketing lever, data product, and audience insight generator to fuel business growth.

This position reports to the Director, Marketing & Advertising Technology and is based at Skillman, NJ, NYC (Chelsea), NY, Fort Washington, PA, High Wycombe, England, or Zug, Switzerland. Remote work options may be considered on a case-by-case basis and if approved by the Company.

What will you do

The Senior Manager, CRM & Data Activation is part of the Global Consumer Experience organization (CxO) and will be responsible for driving increased effectiveness, ROI, and innovating on our CRM and data activation efforts in partnership with regional and market teams worldwide. They will operate in service of and partner with commercial, health care professional and commerce teams to help enable and accelerate growth for regional and market/brand teams through their CRM programs.

You’ll distill a broad set of business and technology requirements, with a focus on tying data acquisition to dynamic, multichannel personalization solutions.

The role requires strong experience managing marketing technology and driving process improvements and change management. The candidate is an excellent communicator and collaborator, has a high standard of accountability, and eager to guide the creation of new processes to enable our marketing teams to be more effective and self-sufficient.

Key Responsibilities
  • CRM Leadership and operations
  • Partner cross-functionally to develop a master data profile as the source of truth, standardizing identity for MarTech systems
  • Optimize CRM learnings and technology across consumer and health care professionals
  • Continually improve email campaign tactics, technology, and analytics, and partner omnichannel colleagues to ensure email campaigns accomplish strategies and meet engagement benchmarks
  • Align teams around standardized ways of working including CRM delivery frameworks and tools, manage maturity assessments
  • Ensure campaign operations are efficient and functioning accurately and reliably
  • Ensure compliance needs are met and industry impacts are managed
  • First party data acquisition leadership
  • Manage all technical aspects of the marketing ecosystem used for data acquisition in partnership with data & audience activation partners, data science, analytics and IT
  • Optimize and work toward standardization of data intake and utilization processes to enable marketing and media activation effectiveness in partnership with regional and IT teams
  • Customer data platform (CDP) management and optimization
  • Manage and optimize the Customer Data Platform (CDP), in collaboration with Data operations counterpart, IT and the external vendor
  • Lead the efforts to integrate multiple data sources to collect, store the data (data warehouse/lake), and build customer profiles
  • Define & evolve the vision of the CDP, as market and business needs change
  • Marketing technology roadmap and tools ownership
  • Make strategic recommendations on marketing technology to invest in, where it could be most effectively utilized, and how to measure its value.
  • Develop future-looking recommendations and accelerate all products and workstreams across the portfolio: define strategy, approach, methodologies, frameworks, tools and measures to enable ROI improvement
  • Team development and resource management, including budget
  • Recruit, onboard, manage, and motivate a team of digital marketing producers and campaign managers to execute on key programs
  • Manage expectations and lead projects for a team of global stakeholders. Educate and upskill partners to effectively use CRM and data activation capabilities.
  • Manage budget for resourcing capability development including decisions on when to build vs. outsource, agency and consultant selection and management, and budget management.

Required Qualifications
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required
  • High level of professionalism and integrity, valuing servant leadership and collaboration
  • Demonstrated success motivating cross-functional teams to complete complex projects efficiently and with a high level of quality
  • Eight (8) years of experience working with CRM software as a marketer in a hands-on capacity or overseeing a team directly responsible for this function
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud and email subject matter and solutions expert
  • Three (3) years of experience with vendor management
  • Experience working with data activation across channels in a hands-on capacity or via direct team management
  • Balance of technical and strategic business skills with experience working collaboratively with developers as well as product managers and business stakeholders
  • Understanding of cloud platforms, technologies, integrations, and processing environments
  • Strong ROI-focused analytical and process optimization mindset
  • Track record of problem-solving, demonstrating an entrepreneurial mindset, leading in ambiguous environments
  • Ability to motivate department and project team members set achievable objectives, maintain a positive outlook, take responsibility, make decisions, and hold self and team members accountable
  • Self-motivated, adept at time management, building project plans, managing multiple projects with concurrent timelines, while managing and meeting deadlines
  • Strong creative and conceptual thinking, ability to set a vision, identify new opportunities, develop new ways of working, pinpoint solutions to complex problems and overcome obstacles
  • Track record of problem solving, demonstrating an entrepreneurial mindset, leading in ambiguous environments, influencing skillsets and learning agility
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate and collaborate successfully to drive value and build relationships with internal teams, suppliers and agencies
  • Ability to join meetings at flexible hours to accommodate globally based colleagues. This could include as early as 7 am ET or as late as 10 pm ET between 2-4 times per month. Best days/times are arrived at via collaboration among participants. Otherwise, business hours are generally 8 am to 5 pm Eastern Time for US or UK, Europe local hours
  • Travel up to 10% domestically or internationally, including meetings in Fort Washington, PA and Skillman, NJ
The anticipated base pay range for this position in the United States is $113,000 to $195,500.
