Senior Manager Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
Job description

As a Sr. Manager CRM for Staples, you will lead the step-change improvement of the US Retail targeted marketing program across email, direct mail, SMS, App/Push, and in store targeted messaging as a member of the Digital & Loyalty team. You will build, optimize and evolve our multi-channel marketing programs driving growth and influencing sales, margin and brand engagement. Working closely with the Retail Marketing team the Sr. Manager will be responsible for growing customer file size and health, expanding our customer lifecycle & triggered communications strategy, evolving and maturing our personalization efforts, and leveraging emerging technologies to innovate and connect with our customers.

Key Deliverables:
- Drive direct marketing programs transformation to improve overall performance (e.g., shift away from segmented promotional campaigns towards real-time, data-driven, personalized-driven messages)
- Partner closely with the Retail business stakeholders & Marketing team to understand plans and go-to-market strategy ensuring the CRM program roadmap and plans are in continual alignment
- Grow audience lists and first party data collection to enhance targeting of messages
- Collaboratively build, test, evaluate & continually optimize targeted customer lifecycle journeys driving short and long-term sales and margin
- Act as the resident company expert and primary point-of-contact for multi-channel customer communication strategy and personalization

Essential skills and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant professional experience
- 6-10 years of experience in planning and executing CRM campaigns
- In depth knowledge of marketing best practices, optimization, A/B testing, and customer journey design
- Prior experiences working with and leveraging loyalty programs for driving targeting & personalization efforts
- Proficiency in the technical aspects of modern digital communications, ecommerce, and database platforms
- Strong analytic & presentation skills. Able to develop test strategies, articulate key success metrics, and analyze results
- Proven ability to partner with various business units & stakeholders to foster collaboration and drive progress forward
- Proactive and self-motivated work style with proven ability to manage multiple projects and get things done on time and on budget
