This is a Fixed Term Contract

Position Summary

The primary responsibility of this role is to project manage and successfully execute the launch activities for assigned new product launches into Alexion Operations (NPI) along with product country extensions. The role has a global focus, and as such requires a strong ability to work across all areas of the business, with stakeholder communication a priority.


Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Project manage introduction of new products into commercial supply operations
  • Project manage assigned market extension launches globally
  • Manage multiple launch projects simultaneously
  • Establish detailed project plans, identifying and managing project dependencies and critical path.
  • NPI Programme Risk Management
  • Matrixed resource management
  • Maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders so that assigned projects are implemented successfully.
  • GMP Change Control management & compliance reporting
  • Supporting department manager with KPI Development & reporting
  • Develop other NPI team members skillsets across project management tools & methodologies
  • Support process improvement initiatives to ensure the NPI launch process is scalable to account for future demands.

Essential Qualifications

  • 5-7 years’ experience in Global/EMEA supply chain or a product supply/management function
  • Project management experience in Pharmaceutical or related environment
  • Proven track record of leading complex, multi-faceted projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in supply chain or a product supply/management function
  • Capability to lead and manage teams in a matrixed environment
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of GMP
  • Excellent computer skills with experience in Microsoft project
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • A self-starter with a drive for improvement and compliance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Formal PM certification
  • Degree level educated or equivalent Qualification
