Edwards Lifesciences is seeking an agile, experienced training leader to direct training execution for the Transcatheter Mitral & Tricuspid Therapies (TMTT) US commercial field organization. This manager will play a key role in launching a new product by building and scaling organizational capabilities to prepare the US field team for achievement of exceptional procedural outcomes.

Essential Job Functions:
Manage and oversee the development of a commercial training curriculum designed to lead to clinical certification of the US commercial field team. The commercial training curriculum encompasses hands-on, virtual and case-based training.
Serve as the clinical Subject Matter Expert (SME) to develop training in support of sales team’s broad adoption of procedural and clinical best practices. As needed, lead hands-on lab-based training sessions.
Work closely with training colleagues and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) focused on clinical and technical training. As needed, serve as SME support in commercial procedures to support case-based learning.
Provide leadership for key initiatives in the development, execution and continual improvement of training programs. Develop strategy for continuous learning.
Identify risk, develop and lead in the implementation of broad and complex sales training strategies, including partnering with internal cross-functional teams.
Plan and direct complex activities with large scale or significant business impact with the accountability for successful completion of all deliverables. Lead in identifying risk, developing mitigation strategies, alternative solutions, resolving issues, etc. in collaboration with cross functional and/or matrix teams.
Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders (e.g., sales, marketing, medical affairs, clinical affairs and executive teams) to deliver impactful cross-functional programs.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree required plus 10 years experience of previous sales operations, business strategy and/or financial planning experience required, or Master's Degree or equivalent in related field , 8 years experience of previous sales operations, business strategy and/or financial planning experience required
Previous field sales experience preferred.
Minimum 5 years of medical device experience with at least 3 years leading sales or clinical training teams
Minimum 5 years of working in a clinical position, such as nursing, sonographer or cath lab technician
Prior experience with clinical implant certification process
Flexibility to travel as needed for engagement with heart team customers and field staff

Preferred Qualifications:
Formal cardiac sonography imaging certification, such as ACS, RDCS, RCCS
Clinical or Technical Curriculum development experience
Budget management experience

Additional Skills:
Proven successful project management leadership skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related tools and systems
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills including high discretion/judgment in decision making
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives
Keep current on relevant therapeutic and medical device sales training areas to maintain current knowledge and gain new ideas relevant to training and education
Expert understanding of clinical and sales while identifying applications of functional knowledge and existing methodologies to complex problems
Expert understanding of related aspects of sales training processes and/or systems
Demonstrated ability to manage one or more teams and provide coaching and feedback, including responsibility for all employee actions including hire/fire authority and partnering with HR on all aspects of employee relations
Ability to develop and integrate metrics into the projects and operations that clearly demonstrate the value of sales training to the business

The base pay range for this position is $166,000 to $235,000 (highly experienced).
