Role Profile

Fund & Life Operations serves as a control point between the Front Office (Investment and Trading Teams) and the External Counterparties (Brokers, Issuers, Custodians). The primary purpose is to verify the trade data from the Front Office corresponds with information being sent by the Counterparty and Custodians. The team acts as point of contact for Trade Events and Settlement, Valuation, Documentation, Regulatory Reporting and Reconciliations amongst others. Knowledge and experience of the trade- and settlement lifecycle is key. This position offers a broad exposure across the Operations, Compliance, Investment and Trading departments. Duties

The successful candidate will have responsibility for a wide range of trade support and straight through processing duties as well as being responsible for the full settlement and cash movement process across a wide range of asset classes and markets.

Trade lifecycle exception management - Processing, matching, and settling listed and unlisted asset (Equities, Fixed Income, Funds, OTCs, ETD’s, FoF)

Responsible for trade, position, and cash reconciliations, investigating and resolving breaks.

Managing disputes around claims associated with settlement issues

Responsible for regulatory reporting and oversight, as well as actively engaging with our compliance department on regulatory matters and projects

Responsible for resolution of complex queries received from internal as well as external parties

Perform data analysis and reporting to assist in the development of business, financial and regulatory reports as well as general data analysis to support change and Management reporting.

Ongoing review of procedures and processes – identifying areas for improvements and implementing changes where vital in relation to industry standards, commercial viability and ensuring they are fit for purpose.

Skills & Competencies

Independently researching and resolving discrepancies; the successful person will learn to debug, analyse, and troubleshoot problems quickly under pressure

Ability to efficiently interact with all levels within the company (from entry level trainees through to senior managers)

Excellent time management, problem solving and analytical skills

Proven ability to participate in complex projects with multiple stakeholders and milestones

Strong oral and written communication skills – complete proficiency in English is required. Italian or another European language is desirable but not mandatory

Regulatory reporting (including EMIR and SFDR)

Documenting complex processes to develop clear procedural guidelines

Qualifications & Experience

5+ years’ experience within Middle Office/settlement functions focusing on a wide range of products.

Knowledge and/or experience in dealing with the following asset types- Funds (ETF’s, External and FoF), Equities, Deposits, Bonds, FX, Credit, Swaps, Exchange Traded Derivatives & OTC’s.

Solid understanding of the following systems would be a distinct advantage; FusionInvest, FXAll, full DTCC & OSTRA suite.

Experience in SWIFT formatting.

Appropriate 3rd Level Qualification.
