SENIOR NETWORK ENGINEER

Senior Network Engineer is responsible for the strategy of the core network and security systems support for the entire company global network. This includes responsibilities for both network operations and security for the Data Centers as well as day-to-day support of all local networks.

Your tasks .

• Contributes Technical Expertise as a key member of the PKC NA Infrastructure Engineering Team
• Delivers Technical Leadership of strong decision-making while responsible for new & existing IT Infrastructure programs & projects
• Designs & builds company’s core network including Switches, Firewalls, Routers, Wireless and Security Technologies such as Anti-Virus, Network Monitors and Radius
• Sets network diagrams and maps standards for both current state and next generation PKC NA wired & wireless networks
• Proactively assesses new security threats and vulnerabilities both internally and in support of the Motherson Threat Intel Initiative. Remediates and reports on the status of the environment and coordinates solutions with PKC NA and Motherson teams. Also plays a lead role in the IT Risk Management process.
• Ensures proper implementation, configuration, documentation, monitoring and maintenance of security firewalls, switches, application security, connections and encryptions in the enterprise
• Optimizes use of the entire system and network infrastructure by performing strategic & daily reviews of current activity, analysis and resolution of issues and bottlenecks
• Leads reporting security and network compliance information to upper management and parent company
• Mentors other Infrastructure staff on network and security related items pertaining to their unique roles within PKC
• Recommends network solutions and security capabilities to support the changing business requirements
  

Your profile .

• Education and Experience:
  • Bachler’s degree in Computer Engineering or related field
  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience supporting a multi-site network
  • The below certifications a plus:
    • CCNA/CCNP
    • CISSP
    • GSEC
• Skill/ knowledge requirements:
  • Strong technical leadership capabilities by communicating, planning & delivering key strategic initiatives
  • In-depth experience of leading technical project teams on-time & on-budget
  • Managing network engineering team members
  • Working technical knowledge of network concepts such as MPLS, BGP, Layer 3 Routing, Network Design, IPSEC, Proxy, Wireless, and others
  • Hands on experience with business requirements gathering/analysis
  • Working technical experience Cisco, Fortinet and Riverbed devices or like products
  • Working technical experience with Clearpass or other Radius / Authentication technologies
  • Experience supporting VMware networks
  • Background in creating and supporting network security initiatives
• Business/Technical Knowledge:
  • Exceptional analytical, conceptual and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to report and articulate issues effectively
• Working Conditions:
  • Position requires 24x7 support on an On-call basis
  • Weekend and Night work will be applicable as required
  • Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time, both domestically and internationally.
  • Medium physical activity – ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • High level of initiative and works well in team environment
  • Able to manage stressful situations and deadline pressures
