The primary responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, serving as the supervising leader for daily operations in Parts repair and act as the senior in-house repair technician for Video Gaming Terminal (VGT) gaming parts to ensure materials are fully functional prior to deployment in the field. This position will also be responsible for removing and salvaging parts from inoperable or discontinued machines, maintaining the salvage and dock areas of the warehouse, managing the VGT chair program, and collaborating with other Supply Chain leaders to assure seamless operations across Parts operations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Managing work schedules and daily assignments for all Parts Repair Technicians.
- Bench repair of VGT related parts, in conjunction with proper testing of all repaired items to ensure quality.
- Determine component requirements needed to expand testing & repair capabilities.
- Assist in procurement and fulfillment of Video Gaming Terminal (VGT) parts to achieve the highest level of service & customer satisfaction.
- Provide necessary training to other Accel employees with a focus on field repair and troubleshooting.
- Work directly with the Quality Assurance (QA) and Product Support (Parts) departments to provide information and create documentation related to field repairs, bench repairs, troubleshooting practices, etc.
- Deconstruction and reconstruction of VGT machines and parts to create an in-house inventory of discontinued materials and parts to be used later.
- Physical shipping of necessary components to their identified locations to make sure items arrive in a secure & timely manner.
- Work with different business units to determine the components that are made available to complete requested jobs.
- Participates in off site visits to pick up, service or deliver machine or parts as needed.
- Serve as the ranking leadership member, as necessary, if other Parts Department leaders are unavailable to resolve issues.
- Maintaining the organization of the salvage and dock areas of the warehouse.
- Managing the VGT chair program to oversee the recycling, refurbishment, sale and/or disposal of chairs to assure cost effectiveness of chairs while providing Accel customers with VGT seating of the highest quality standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of four (4) years of bench technical repair experience. Minimum of one (1) technical certification completion in a business-related area (Ex. Board Repair, Circuit Repair, VGT Repair, etc.).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office program suite, with Linux O/S experience preferred.
- Commitment to excellence and high standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to create training materials for all departments and to distribute said materials as required.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees.
- Ability to generate return material authorization (RMA) reports to distribute to the regional field service managers in order to ensure return of damaged/failed components.
- Establish and maintain necessary Quality Control standards to ensure repairs are consistent, reliable, and to the utmost quality.
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.

- Protective clothing or equipment is required that may include gloves, helmets, steel-toed boots, or protective eyewear
- The noise level in the work environment usually is moderate
