The Project Controls Manager will support Development and Construction teams in our regions and will be responsible for project controls standards, processes, and tools in capital projects. The role shall also ensure that Project Controllers or Project Engineers get the right training and support in areas of cost planning and control, time scheduling, risk identification and management, and reporting according to Statkraft standards. The Project Controls Manager is involved in assurance activities and provide services to asset owners in relation to portfolio planning and management.
- Lead and develop a team of Project Controllers or Project Engineers. Manage resources in matrixed environment
- Manage and co-ordinate Project Controller or Project Engineers activities in projects, and across portfolio, being run by the regional Project Delivery unit
- Facilitate risk management processes, document and co-ordinate risks associated with projects being run by the regional Project Delivery unit
- Facilitate Quantitative and Qualitative Risk Assessments
- Co-ordinate Project Controls (Schedule & Cost) according to Statkraft requirements and current best practices within the region. Ensure established principles and processes are followed by project teams (internal & external supporting team members)
- Recommend corrective action to Project Managers and wider project team, from analysis by Controls Function within teams
- Influence, with Project Manager's, effective Senior Management decision making based on objective analysis of information
- Contribute with competence into the corporate Project Controls centre of excellence, by building expertise, sharing best practices and support training for relevant processes and tools
- Recommend and influence process and system improvement opportunities when they arise
- Month-end closing activities and project reporting
- Project-end closing activities, final assessment and compile lessons learned
- Liaise with Finance team to ensure consistent reporting and forecasting
- Audit and review Project Controls and Risk Management in projects
- Flexibility in terms of travel and mobility
- Support in the development of Project Portfolio tools for the region
- Masters or university degree in engineering, or similar with documented extensive experience in the field
- People management and leadership skills
- Project controls experience from large, complex, international investment projects.
- Clear affinity with renewables and ideally relevant working experience in the renewable energy industry
- Independent self-starter with a clear ability to manage a large workload, often providing support to processes managed by colleagues, while prioritizing tasks and effectively juggling competing deadlines
- Proactive and solution-oriented with attention to details
- Team player and self-motivated to take responsibility for independent work
- Good knowledge of relevant systems and tools including Primavera P6, Primavera Risk Analysis, Microsoft Project / Project Online and SAP would be an advantage
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
