We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Manager, Quality Assurance to lead a team of QA Analysts focused on quality and quality-related development work related to Sinclair's Corporate and Broadcast-related applications and integrations. You will work alongside the Sinclair product teams to acquire in-depth knowledge of how each application works in terms of business logic, security aspects, development environments, and production environments. You will provide direction into test strategies, document areas for improvement in design, and assist in corrective action in all stages of the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

Operations, Collaboration & Partnerships

• Lead a team of QA Analysts working across several Scrum development teams supporting a portfolio of corporate and broadcast-related applications and integrations.
• Recommend and assist in corrective actions taken at all stages of product life
• Submit and track production (maintenance) and release issues
• Review functional and design specifications to ensure full understanding of deliverables
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing efforts across multiple projects
• Oversee all lifecycles of the testing process including, test planning, test case documentation, data configuration, progress reporting and test schedules.
• Oversee and contribute to software testing solutions via automated and manual means
• Manage defect backlog, ensuring proper documentation and tracking through resolution.
• Collaborate with development team and business to troubleshoot issues
• Ensure projects meet customer requirements and objectives

Performance Improvement

• Help the software applications team to maintain a high level of excellence
• Develop, standardize and refine test case standards, methodologies and sustainable processes
• Develop, standardize and evaluate performance metrics to establish process success
• Design, document and implement procedures and techniques that are consistent with best practices for analyzing, testing, and evaluating the risk (software & business), accuracy, completeness, internal integrity/consistency, testability and overall quality of systems.
• Research emerging technologies and identify opportunities for adoption
• Track operations and constantly look for ways to make things work better, faster, and smoother
• Prepare and deliver staff performance evaluations and career development activities

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in IT discipline or equivalent work experience
• Proven track record of success leading a team of Quality Assurance Analysts
• 8+ years of application testing experience
• 5+ years of automated testing experience
• 3+ years of experience with cloud-based quality assurance methods and systems
• Experience reporting, regressing and reproducing software problems
• Experience with relational databases (administration and T-SQL); understanding of SQL and ability to query/validate sets of data
• Experience testing 3rd party applications, determining root cause, and partnering with 3rd party vendors to resolve issues
• Experience working with a formal Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process
• Experience with a formal Software Test Life Cycle (STLC) process
• Experience in both front and back-end testing
• Familiarity and experience with browser-based testing tools such as Selenium, Robot Framework, CodedUI, etc. preferred
• Experience using one or more of the following tools a plus: Jira, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Test Manager, Jenkins, Visual Studio / Git, ServiceNow
• Thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment, possess a high level of intellectual curiosity, and demonstrate strong judgment in the face of ambiguity
