Job Description Summary:
The Senior Research Analyst will manage the TEAMSPORT Measurement and Analysis team, manage and contribute to cancer care delivery quality measure development and collection and will manage and oversee all aspects of longitudinal surveys. The analyst will also participate in scholarly activities such as coordinating and contributing to abstracts, posters, presentations, manuscripts and will manage journal submissions. This position will report directly to the project PI.
This is a 20-hour a week part time position.

Master's degree or PhD in health services research or similar field
Experience with quality improvement measures
Experience or training in secondary data analysis
Job Duties Outlined:
Manage the TEAMSPORT Measurement and Analysis team
Contribute to research team meetings and set agendas and timelines for completion of data collection form development, data collection, and data analysis components. Set and track weekly and monthly goals for data collection and analysis productivity.
Coordinate and contribute to update of research study documents, such as protocols, and Institutional Review Board (IRB) applications and renewals. Monitor need for and implement protocol amendments.
Develop and maintain necessary records of study activities and ensure recordkeeping is done in a timely fashion, including maintaining regulatory binders/electronic folders.
Prepare internal and external study reports. Serve as a key liaison between designated research teams and funding agencies. This includes, but is not limited to, receiving requests for data analyses, tracking project completion and communicating results, attending conference calls and in-person meetings with funding agencies, and overall project communication.
Interact with the KUMC Research Institute, Sponsored Programs, Information Security, grants development units, and other Research offices to ensure compliance with research policies and obtain research resources
Manage and assist with cancer care delivery quality measure development and collection
Organize and manage process for creating, operationalizing, collecting, and scaling up quality metrics for genomic testing in cancer
Help design guideline-based quality metrics, including identifying appropriate inclusion and exclusion criteria derived from national cancer care guidelines, and specifying criteria in a systematic way across all metrics
Serve as liaison between data warehouse and study team to obtain available data
Help develop data dictionaries and variable crosswalks to support data consistency and quality across data sources
Oversee electronic health record data extraction from cancer data warehouse to ensure high quality assessment of quality measures, including helping design and overseeing data validation studies
Create database for registry data import and data abstraction.
Oversee medical record data abstraction process, including identifying abstractor training needs and maintaining abstraction schedule
Design measures and reporting dashboards in RShiny
Manage and oversee all aspects of longitudinal survey
Maintain REDCap database for provider survey and monitor data quality.
Oversee survey administration
Identify gift card recipients and manage payment process by providing names to business administrator for payment, maintaining the master tracking sheet, and ensuring that we stay on timeline;
Conduct descriptive analyses of survey data and help design and manage analysis of relational coordination data.
Code and analyze qualitative data
Help direct data preparation and statistical analysis; oversee quantitative team to ensure goals are being met. Supervise statistical team to assure successful completion of project duties.
Participate in scholarly activities such as coordinating and contributing to abstracts, posters, presentations, manuscripts. Manage journal submissions.
