The College of Arts and Sciences is seeking to hire an experienced Research Coordinator II in the Department of Psychology. This position will work closely with the Principal Investigator (PI) on two grant funded clinical trials involving the intersection of alcohol use and interpersonal violence; one with LGBT couples, and the other testing the efficacy of an alcohol and sexual assault prevention program for young men, RealConsent2.0

The essential duties and responsibilities of the Research Coordinator II are the following:

  • Perform data collection and analysis, including support for recruiting efforts, developing and administering data collection measures, collaborating with investigators to analyze scientific data, and contributing to manuscript and presentation preparation.
  • Conduct literature reviews in support of grant and manuscript preparation, as well as assisting with grant writing.
  • Manage grant-funded projects; work with principal investigator to assure research tasks are completed within delegated times.
  • Provide administrative support as appropriate; may include assisting with scheduling and preparation for collaborative meetings.
  • Manage relevant research personnel working in lab.
  • Other duties and opportunities as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Master's degree in assigned research area; or a combination of education and related experience.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Master’s degree relevant to research areas in public health and psychology.
  • Knowledge of public health, research methods, and conducting clinical trials; qualitative and quantitative methods (familiar with statistics); standard literature search methods; effective oral and written communication skills; effective time management and organizational skills.
