Job Summary

The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for the growth of current client relationships and all new account sourcing. The Senior Sales Manager will focus on building and strengthening client relationships and networks. The Senior Sales Manager possesses expert knowledge of the subject matter and handles complex issues.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identifies and executes multiple sales strategies to increase the hotel's client base and top line revenue across designated segments (BT, SMERF, F&B, Government).
  • Qualifies each potential piece of business by pre-call planning, identifying hot buttons and overcoming obstacles.
  • Conducts proactive sales call activities in the market and consistently meets the weekly goal expectations that are set by sales leadership.
  • Responds to all potential leads and inquiries in a timely manner and customizes responses to each client's needs.
  • Maintains current knowledge related to competition and market conditions and effectively applies strategies to increase business.
  • Prepares weekly reporting requirements in a timely manner.
  • Creates and maintains positive and professional staff and client relationships.
  • Presents the hotel in an appealing way to prospective clients by telling intriguing stories and describing available opportunities including on-site property tours and off-site client interactions.
  • Documents all sales activities and booking in accordance with expected standards in related systems. •Participates in local hospitality and community networking events.
  • Performs all group savvy tasks as needed.
  • Assists with onboarding, training, new hotel openings, and sales blitzes throughout the portfolio as requested by sales leadership team.
  • Performs additional responsibilities as assigned by leadership.


Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of relevant sales management experience.
  • Proficient in Delphi.FDC, CVent, Meeting Broker, and Lanyon.
  • Ability to train on various brand platforms and systems.
  • Previous experience with outside sales.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to speak clearly and listen attentively.
  • Ability to read and write effectively.
  • Ability to resolve problems effectively.
  • Ability to manage stressful situations with poise and finesse.
