Senior Salesforce Developer - Rapid7 IT Engineering (App Mgmt)

We are seeking a senior Salesforce developer to join our growing IT Engineering team. In this role you will design and build scalable salesforce solutions to help grow Rapid7 business and improve productivity of end users. Analyze and debug production issues and recommend ways to maintain and improve the overall health and wellbeing of the system and its integrations. This can include from initial conceptualization, design all the way through the release of new functionality and enhancements in Enterprise IT systems. You would also need to partner with other Salesforce team members, other application owners, different members within IT organization and business stakeholders. This highly visible role at Rapid7 involves setting our internal stakeholders up for success and ensuring our Salesforce ecosystem is set up to perform at an optimum level as we create a more secure future for all of our Customers. The ideal candidate has had hands-on experience with Salesforce Sales and Salesforce Service platforms, experience in Agile Scrum methodology, proficient in Salesforce CPQ, API based integrations and has working knowledge of GITHUB integration.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design and Develop Salesforce solutions on Sales and Service cloud

• Work with the Architecture role to determine the best design to meet project requirements; responsible for implementing approved architecture design.

• Lead the team in translating requirements into Salesforce configurations and integrations

• Continually deliver features and functionality to business stakeholders on a 2-week release cycle.

• Design and implement frameworks that allow us to effectively scale development on our different applications

• Build and maintain integrations with other SaaS applications

• Debug, Analyze and Remediate Production Issues

• Work on projects to enhance Salesforce platform capabilities, optimize application performance and Salesforce mandated features (enablement/disablement)

• Collaborate effectively with other Dev members, contractors, POs and BSAs, Project Managers, Scrum Masters and various business stakeholders

• Work on DevOps functions as needed

The ideal candidate will bring the following to the table:

• 5+ years Software Development Lifecycle experience. Developing with tools such as Visual Force, Javascript, Apex controllers, Apex Classes/Triggers Configurations, Flows, Batch Jobs and standard SFDC components

• Experience using Salesforce data model and understanding how and when to create custom objects vs. using Salesforce out-of-the-box functionality

• 2+ years of experience working with an Agile/Scrum team

• Familiarity with other SaaS based tools like Netsuite, Workday, Marketo, LeanData, Workato, JIRA and Guru.

• Strong communication and relationship skills Excellent problem solving, troubleshooting, oral and written communication skills

• Willingness to broaden technical, functional, and industry skill base and to keep current with industry information and technical knowledge

• Proven Experience with GITHUB integration

• DevOps experience is a plus

• Desire to bring fresh ideas on how technology can be used to solve big problems

• Smart, quick thinking ability, and adaptability in a dynamic, fast-moving environment
