Job description

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a proven track record of building secure, robust, high-performing, cloud-scale applications and APIs. This role is a good fit for someone who wants to be part of a team of data scientists and engineers who are working on innovative problems in the fintech space. You will be responsible for helping design, build, and test the key APIs.

Responsibilities

• Design and build new APIs and roll out future features and endpoints
• Interface with product teams, engineers, architects and infosec at Credit Reporting Companies
• Write well designed, readable, maintainable, testable, and efficient code
• Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle from concept to design to implementation and testing
• Build highly scalable event-driven and real-time systems to perform massive data processing of structured and unstructured data
• Work with various team members to standardize the software development and release process
• Support continuous improvement by investigating and exploring bleeding-edge technologies
• Contribute technical documentation of the software components
• Work on applications with industry leading performance, reliability and security standards.

Skills and Qualifications

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
• Have 5+ years Software Development experience with a strong preference for Python
• Understanding of Git, version control best practices, and CI/CD systems (Teamcity, Jenkins, etc)
• Experience working in an Agile environment with an understanding of agile methodologies
• Understanding of cloud-based containerized deployments with a preference for AWS
• Ability to translate requirements and design systems from the ground up
• Desire to work with a high level of autonomy and responsibility
• Self-driven and highly proactive with a strong motivation to change the world for good.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70.00 - $80.00 per hour
