Senior Software Engineer (C++) | Media Applications
The Genesys Cloud Media Services Group is responsible for our cloud-based media and control platform. This API-consumed platform includes services for voice and video, session control, device management, and business logic layers. We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer that has a strong interest in cloud software development creating efficient, high capacity service solutions with a server bias. As a Senior Software Engineer with the Media Services Group you will focus on the development and delivery of business-critical services in a global deployment model. You will be working in an environment where continuous change and innovation at a fast pace are certain. This is an opportunity to be a member of a team with ownership responsibility for production level service deployments and operations with global reach and maximum customer impact.
Members of the Media Applications Team design and develop contact center features developed with state-of-the-art cloud-based microservices. Collectively, the team creates the logic engines that drive large parts of Genesys Cloud’s ecosystem. You will work across feature teams to build out our voice platform’s capabilities, maintain high reliability, and enhance our core product offerings. What you will be doing:
- Create and deploy solutions for Genesys Cloud business logic application media services.
- Design media features for voice enabled customer journeys and multiple party conversations.
- Lead feature teams in the development of full stack media solutions and architectures.
- Collaborate with product and test teams to deliver solutions to production.
- Be a promoter of innovation and new technologies.
The skills that we are looking for:
- Production level experience with modern C++.
- Capable of creating scalable and robust multi-threaded applications and services.
- Experience with advanced programming language concepts and patterns.
- Product design and development experience with large distributed system architectures.
- Strong analytical, diagnostic, and debugging skills.
- Strong communication skills to interact with team members in different locations
Ticking these boxes would also be great::
- 5+ years commercial software engineering experience post education.
- Experience with web architectures and technologies (HTTP, REST).
- Applied experience with using database technology (DynamoDB, Redis, SQL).
- AWS or cloud platform operational experience.
- Experience with cloud development tools (Jenkins, Sumo, New Relic).
