Immediate career opportunity for a full-time Senior Staff Accountant for our Accounting Department at Progressive Careers & Housing. We are a nonprofit organization corporately located in Olympia Fields, Illinois providing services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities with locations throughout Illinois.
The successful candidate should be proficient in General Accounting procedures relevant to the industry, Internal and External Auditing practices, working knowledge of AP, AR, Financial Reports, Balance Sheet reconciliation, Budgeting, Internal Controls and GL Accounting.
Duties will include the processes that occur in an accounting department and other duties that may be assigned by Leadership. Along with supervision of accounting staff.
Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting with 3-5 years of related industry experience and GL Accounting.

-Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365 (intermediate to advanced level) - -Excel power user

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Managerial experience a plus
• Ability to work well independently and in a team with good organization skills
• Must have a strong understanding of financial and operational controls.

• Must be able to multi-task
• Microsoft Dynamics a plus (GP) along with Microsoft Business Central

• Pass a background check by the Illinois State Police and drug test.
