Limerick City and County Council is establishing a panel for the position of Senior Staff Officer (Broadband Development Manager).

The Broadband Development Manager is a key role in the Digital Strategy (D.S.) Department, reporting to the Head of Digital Strategy.

Each candidate must, on the latest date for receipt of completed application forms:

  • have a 3rd level qualification OR a minimum of 5 years experience with supporting evidence in an area or areas relevant to the position
  • have proven experience working with community, voluntary and business groups;
  • have proven and relevant experience in administrative procedures including practical experience in work of an administrative nature, and in office organisation
  • have a good understanding of the various platforms through which telecommunication services can be delivered, as well as the current challenges/barriers facing citizens and businesses in accessing existing telecoms infrastructure
  • have satisfactory skills in the following areas:
  • project management in a multi-stakeholder environment and within budgetary constraints
  • infrastructure development/deployment and supporting processes (e.g. planning processes, legal/statutory requirements, environmental considerations etc)
  • contract management
  • funding applications and models, pricing strategies, competitiveness
  • Non Irish Qualifications must be accompanied by a determination from Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI) to establish their comparability against the Irish National Framework of Qualifications, overseas qualifications must also be accompanied by a translation document.
Salary
€49,530 - €60,512 per annum. Payment of increments is dependent on satisfactory performance.
Annual Leave
The successful candidate will have 30 days annual leave.
Hours of Work
The working hours at present provide for a five day, thirty-five hours working week, hours may vary from time to time.
