We are looking for a Senior Tax Analyst to join our Tax team headquartered in Florham Park, N.J.

As a Senior Tax Analyst you create chemistry by…

• Reconciling tax accounts and preparing tax analysis and projections
• Preparing and filing sales & use tax returns including use tax review
• Responding to tax inquiries and coordinating with vendors and stake holders to approve tax payments
• Managing tax website and updating state tax exemption certificates
• Assisting in tax system testing
• Coordinating sales tax credits with Customer Care
• Assisting all aspects of manufacturing plant sales and use tax audits
• Providing research and analysis on legislative changes and complex tax issue
• Working with engineering colleagues to determine sales tax impact for capital investment

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Your formula for success…

• Bachelor's degree in a financial discipline (i.e. Accounting, Economics, Tax)
• 5 years of Tax experience or equivalent (MST, CA, CMI)
• Minimum of 2 years in sales tax
• Ability to work independently and solve complex problems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and financial acumen
• Knowledge of SAP is desired
• Prior Tax software experience required (preferably SABRIX)
• Strong computer skills and ability to analyze large data
