Compensation Overview
The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What Is the Opportunity?
Position is responsible for the credit risk analysis for Inactive Bundled accounts. Work with marketing, underwriting, actuarial, finance and claim departments to determine the collateral needs for ongoing reinsurance obligations for various types of National Accounts programs. Willing to consider alternative flexible arrangements for qualified individuals.

The Work Arrangement for this position is based on location.
What Will You Do?
  • Develop and manage the collateral review process for all Inactive Bundled programs.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Underwriting, Actuarial, Finance and Claim personnel to ensure quantitative results are representative of critical program elements including technical structure, claims handling and legal environment.
  • Determine the annual collateral recommendation for Bundled programs based on credit analysis, exposure levels and other factors.
  • Communicate decision with various external production sources.
  • Develop product expertise, strategy and protocol regarding Bundled programs tasks that benefit Travelers.
What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?
  • Knowledge of loss-responsive Retrospective/Deductible programs.
  • Knowledge of WC, GL and AL policy coverage forms.
  • Understanding of a Claim Department's approach to evaluating and posting loss reserves.
  • Effective, articulate and professional communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills; able to solicit win-win results with Broker/Agents when delivering company collateral positions.
  • Proficient with Word and Excel.
  • Able to take ownership/accountability of work.
  • Able to research and analyze complex issues/problems.
  • Able to work through the details and see the big picture.
  • Flexible and open to new ideas.
  • Strong collaboration and relationship-building.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented; able to make sound business decisions and take initiative.
  • Good leadership skills.
  • CPCU, ARM preferred but not necessary.
What is a Must Have?
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, insurance, economics or a similar discipline.
  • 5 years’ experience in credit risk management, underwriting, financial analysis and/or risk assessment.
