We are looking for a creative and resourceful Sr. UX researcher who can support the creation and on-going development of research efforts to address key business objectives and customer needs.

This role reports to the VP, UX Research for Connected Commerce

As UX Research Sr. Associate within the Digital organization for Chase, you will work with across Product Management, Design, Data Analytics, and Engineering to envision the future CX for JPMC clients and employees, influence product strategy, and lead the firm to deliver delightful, authentic, and personalized experiences.

Job Responsibilities

• Work with design and product leads to identify areas where user experience research can best provide valuable insights and impact to inform and develop research roadmaps
• Design and lead research studies for strategic, durable insights
• Ensure research results are actionable and contribute directly to meeting user, product, and business goals
• Work with Product, Design, and Tech partners to represent the needs and priorities of our customers and your team and ensure that work undertaken by the team is clearly tied to measurable business outcomes
• Support other researchers as needed to ensure quality and consistency of deliverables and best practices. Coach and mentor junior team members
• Contribute to next gen vision for the research function, identifying areas of opportunity or improvement, including identifying process improvements, new tools, and approaches
• Develop effective systems for understanding and incorporating customer and business needs into the product development process; communicate results of product discovery back to business partners

Required Qualifications, Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Masters', or Ph.D. degree in related field preferred or 3+ years of equivalent relevant experience planning and executing user research studies
• Passionate for designing and delivering research for maximum impact
• Strong User Research skills, with confidence across evaluative, generative, and formative research
• Ability to lead a research study from beginning to end independently
• Prior work involves collaboration within design teams (with other designers, UX researchers, and content designers) and cross-functionally (Product Management, Engineering)
• Ability to champion user experience research and integrate within the design planning, estimation, and prioritization process
• Demonstrated ability to incorporate design thinking into the product development process

Preferred qualifications

• Ability to lead medium-high complexity initiatives with minimal guidance
• Understanding of Accessibility Guidelines and Inclusive Design practices
• Familiarity with banking and finance a plus
• Portfolio or examples of past projects
