To supporting Environment activities and the management of Utilities onsite in Cork. This person will execute utilities activities within area of responsibility on site using standard asset life cycle approach, manage and co ordinate all third party contractor / vendor activities within area, identify areas of waste and develop / implement reduction programs, assist in the development of Capex and Opex budgets and take ownership and develop energy targeting and monitoring and issuing of associate reports and co-ordinating investigations / corrective actions for all deviations

Responsiilities:

• Support Hovione Global Sustainability Program objectives through monitoring and management of carbon/energy/water/waste for the plant.
• Experience in water network.
• Experience in all life safety systems/service providers, including :
  • Fire Hose Testing.
  • Fire/Gas alarm system.
  • ERT BA sets/BA Compressor.
  • Gas tight suit testing.
  • Fire Hydrants.
  • Sprinkler system.
  • Lifting Equipment (Fall arrest equipment).
  • Fire Engine and Ambulance.
  • Fire pumps and associated vessels.
  • Foam and Deluge system testing.

• Execute /coordinate all utility related PM’s and CM’s
• Assist when required in internal and external audits.
• Assist and participate in deviation investigations.
• Report daily on energy usage on site, and identify any corrective measures as they arise.
• Track all Utility performance:
• Steam raising and distribution
• Water systems
• Compressed Air
• PSA and Liquid Nitrogen
• Chill water and glycol systems
• HVAC

• University, or equivalent, qualification in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent degree in a scientific area- compulsary)
• Minimum 6 years+ experience in the Pharmaceutical, Food, or Chemical industry preferred
• Knowledge of local and national codes and regulations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
• Strong analytical skills
