JOB DESCRIPTION
Insight Global is looking for a Sensor Test Engineer to work for one of the largest social networking companies in the world. This individual will work within the Reality Labs organization which brings people around the world together through next generation Augmented, Mixed, and Virtual Reality. This individual will be responsible for smart glass sensor bring-up/ characterization/ validation. This engineer will develop test systems to enable rapid evaluation and testing of sensor sub-systems.
Job Responsibilities:
Characterize and validate touch, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, Inertial measurement unit for smart wearables.
Optimize sensor performance based on validation result
Documenting and presenting test results to engineering teams
Working with cross-functional teams to assure that sufficient and accurate testing is implemented
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Programming skills to develop software/firmware/scripts for validation, characterization, and prototyping (e.g. Python)
Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g. MATLAB, R etc.)
Experience with firmware development (C/C++) is a plus
Knowledge in I2C/SMBus, UART, SPI, USB, Network stack is a plus
Ability to read schematics
Experience with code management tools like Git
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
