The Hilton Garden Inn of Morgantown, WV is conveniently located in the Suncrest Towne Centre just steps from shopping and dining. It is also just minutes away from Ruby Memorial Hospital, West Virginia University, Mountaineer Field and the WVU Coliseum. Come join our fantastic team!
We are looking for Part Time Servers and/or Bartenders to work 25-30 hours per week during our Morning and/or Evening shifts at the Hilton Garden Inn.
Compensation: $10.00 per hour plus tips
Position Overview:
Responsible for effectively promoting, taking, and delivering food and beverage orders. Responsible for processing all checks, handling all cash transactions accurately during shift and ensuring a quality experience for our guests.
Essential Job Functions:
- Accurately and quickly take and place all food orders with the kitchen, according to the prescribed procedures.
- Accurately and quickly take, place and prepare beverage orders at the bar area.
- Answer all questions about cooking methods, menu items, specials and prices of all items.
- Check food to ascertain that appearance, temperature and portions are correct and deliver food orders in a timely fashion.
- Prepare the guest check accurately and present it to the guest before their departure.
- Process all checks; follow all cash handling procedures.
- Collect payment from guest.
- Ensure all checks are closed to the proper account.
- Maintain all inventories of needed supplies at cashier stand/bar.
- Notify a supervisor or manager of any guest problems/issues.
- Complete daily checklist duties as given by manager or supervisor.
In addition to the performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions:
- Clean, clear and reset dining room tables and/or the bar area.
- Assist in seating and greeting guest.
- Clean and restock service items.
- Be familiar with facilities, their hours and location; provide information to guests as needed.
- Seat guest in absence of host/hostess
