Service Delivery Manager
Role Introduction:
Applegreen is seeking to recruit a Service Delivery Manager who will join our IT Operations team.
The successful candidate will have a strong technical background with a focus on IT Service Delivery who can adopt a hands-on approach and fit into the Applegreen culture seamlessly. The role will report directly into the Head of IT Operations and will be based in the Group headquarters office in Park West, Dublin.
Key Responsibilities:
The core responsibilities will centre around the areas listed below. As the Applegreen business evolves, these responsibilities are subject to evolving and changing over to time.
- The delivery, management, and improvement of IT services to support the business and user needs
- Lead and manage a team dedicated to service delivery and ensure that resource is sufficiently planned against priorities
- Manage the relationships with service providers both internally and externally with a focus on high performance
- Driving continuous improvement to meet user needs. compliance requirements and to drive service delivery optimisation
- Provide regular reporting and dashboards on IT service deliverables and core KPI’s
- Develop a long-term service strategy for process goals and maturity levels
- Oversee delivery of new technology and functionality, defining service levels and measures of success
- Work collaboratively across the Group IT team to share best practice
The Candidate should have the following:
Education, Qualifications & Experience:
- BSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline
- Demonstrable experience of IT delivery in a commercial business
- Strong experience in running Service Delivery in a fast-paced environment
- ServiceNow experience desirable
- Minimum of 3 years of people management experience
- Prior experience working in a distributed retail environment would be beneficial
- ITIL qualifications desirable

Established in 1992, Applegreen is a leading convenience roadside retailer in the Republic of Ireland, the UK and the US in both large-scale Motorway Service Areas and Travel Plazas, as well as smaller petrol stations.
