Set up Technician 2nd shift (3:00pm to 11:30pm) 3rd shift (11:00pm to 7:30pm)

New Berlin Plastics is custom injection molder in Southeastern Wisconsin. We are family owned and have been in business since 1975! We are looking for people who want to put their talents to work, learn new skills, and grow their career with us. We have an immediate opportunity for experienced Set up Technicians to join our manufacturing group.

Job Summary: Install/set-up, start-up, and troubleshoot injection molding process within assigned cell to minimize press down time and continually improve production efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Install injection molds and start-up press according to priority list using decoupled process and universal process sheets settings/parameters.

· Complete all necessary quality checks for FSA and prepare required documentation.

· Assist with set up and run automation/robotics programs used in molding process

· Monitor and challenge cycle times to increase efficiency.

· Audit press condition at the beginning of the shift & clean mold face at shift change.

· Troubleshoot processing issues using scientific molding techniques and document any changes

· Train and assist material handlers with set up of material and auxiliary equipment.

· Monitor material to achieve proper color settings and regrind usage for correct loading.

Skills Requirements:

· Minimum of 3 years of Set Up experience in injection mold

· General knowledge of plastic materials

· Demonstrated knowledge of scientific molding methodology

· Strong mechanical aptitude

· Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software

· Basic math skills and strong attention to detail

· Experience with Star Robots a plus.

· Function as a Team Player by maintaining a positive attitude and willingness to assist

· Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision

· Flexible and responsive to changing scheduling requirement
