Pacesetter Personnel Services is hiring a Sewing Operator in the Downtown Houston area.

Job Duties:

· Operating sewing or quilting machine.

· Starts machine, engages feed, and observes operation. Pays close attention to the noise and pitch of the quilting machine to ensure all stitching is completed to proper quality standards. Stops machine operation when necessary to re thread or adjust tension or feed mechanisms.

· Carefully monitors appearance of stitching and makes all adjustments to insure proper stitching.

· Loads automatic feeding device with quilting materials. Loads and verifies all threading mechanisms, checks tension on bottom and top stitches and ensures fabric is loaded correctly prior to starting machine operation.

· Transfers finished panels to carts and rolls boxing materials according to width.

· Performs minor maintenance, greases machine weekly and reports breakdowns to supervisor.

Job Requirements:

• Previous sewing machine experience is required.
• Experience operating a Sewing or Quilting Machine is a plus, not a must.
• Must wear personal protection equipment as instructed by training or supervisor.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.

Schedule:
Monday-Friday from 6:00AM-5:00PM.
Weekends as needed.

Pay:
$15.00 an hour. We pay weekly.
