Position Summary
Primary responsibilities include coordinating the weekly and daily shipments for an assigned number of Consumer Product customers. The Shipping Coordinator II will also review and maintain the customer routing portals for those assigned customers. This position will make sure that shipments are scheduled on time and documentation is prepared as required. This person will also verify that shipping terms are correct and all ASN’s are sent daily. This role will work closely with the Shipping Coordinator I, CSR’s and our customers preferred carriers to ensure that we are meeting all our customer’s needs. This person will work as a backup receiver when needed and will also train to back up the Logistics Coordinator. Will also train with the Shipping Coordinator I to learn and know all customer requirements to fill in as a back up for vacations as needed.
Essential Functions
1. Maintain assigned outbound shipments and customer routing portals
2. Arrange transportation services as required to ensure assigned pick-ups are met.
3. All documents handed in the Shipping Coordinator I to be handed into Finance.
4. Communicate with Sales and CSRs to coordinate and ship products in a timely manner
5. Become familiar with the needs and demands of each customer
6. Coordinate carrier and shipment in customer routing portals
7. Verify that assigned shipments are confirmed and ASN’s send as shipments leave our facility.
8. Train as a backup for the Shipping Coordinator I
9. Train as a back up for the Logistics Coordinator.

Position Specifications

• 5 years of experience in Shipping and Logistics preferred.
• Should have a high school diploma or higher
• Experience using Epicor or similar ERP systems is a must.
• Must be able to read information and numbers, make basic mathematical calculations and write legibly.
• General knowledge of data entry on computer terminals and inventory control.
• Knowledge of shipping procedures and best practices/regulations for freight handling industry.
• Strong skills in Organization, Time Management and Communication
