Job Summary

Established plumbing and mechanical contractor currently seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Mechanic in the Tallahassee FL area. This position will be responsible installing sheet metal components for projects including schools, hospitals, health science, residential and commercial buildings.

Responsibilities

· Sheet metal installation and repair.

· Equipment installation.

· Read and interpret blueprints.

· Measure materials or objects for installation or assembly.

· Smooth surfaces with abrasive materials or tools.

· Relocate materials to needed locations on or off the jobsite,

Skills

· Knowledge of tools, machines and sheet metal fabrication, installation and repair methods

· Ability to work independently or in a team environment

· Excellent communication skills

· Attention to detail.

Required Qualifications

· 3+ years of experience as a Sheet Metal Mechanic

· Highschool diploma or equivalent

· Willing and able to work a 40+ hour week

· Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds without assistance

· Work outside in various weather conditions

· Clear criminal record for educational and correctional facility and government projects

· Valid photo ID

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $34.00 per hour
