Job brief

We are looking for a motivated shift leader to oversee daily operations of small staff for morning shifts. The shift leader's responsibilities include delegating tasks, reporting any issues to the manager, and ensuring team members work efficiently and effectively. Ultimately, a top shift leader should be able to ensure smooth and efficient workflows.

First six months will involve training under store manager and performing the duties of the staff you will be managing.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing operations when the manager is absent
• Provide excellent customer service and manage complaints
• Effectively communicates with vendors to maintain inventory and review orders
• Provide direction and feedback to workers during shifts
• Train and coach new employees
• Ensure health and safety standards are followed
• Address customer and employee issues and concerns
• Foster and maintain a positive work environment

Requirements and skills

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• High school diploma/GED
• Ability to stand for long periods
• Previous experience as a Shift Leader or in a similar role in retail preferred
• Commitment to excellent service
• Working well within a team
• Strong problem-solving aptitude
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Timeliness and reliability are very important to us. We have a small staff and need someone we can depend on to show up as scheduled.
