Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Tubular is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Shipping Team Lead. The Team Leader is primarily responsible for overseeing safe operations and flow of our finished products warehouse. The successful candidate will lead a team that properly cuts, stores, handles, and ships products that exceed our customers' expectations. They will develop successful relationships with internal and external customers, with regular interactions with scheduling/production control to ensure shipments are scheduled properly and on-time delivery is a priority. They must drive our safety culture and be willing to take responsibility for themselves and others by setting an example for others to follow. Team Leaders are also expected to work collaboratively with leadership, communicating and supporting divisional goals with their teams, in terms of safety and operations, and other duties as assigned.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Preferences:

• Experience with shipping and logistics
• Experience leading people
• Participation in Nucor Leadership training or other PCIP-related activities
• Experience utilizing computer resources.
• Actively engaged in Safety performance and improvements
• Ability to effectively execute in all positions within the warehouse function.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including scheduled and unscheduled overtime, rotating shifts, and weekends
