POSITION OVERVIEW

The Shipping & Receiving Operator I role is responsible for preparing items for shipment. The operator verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Package finished product for shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling).

· Utilize pick tickets and sales orders to prepare shipments.

· Repackaging containers as required

· Stage finished product for loading and load onto trucks for shipment.

· Unload raw materials from truck and move to warehouse storage.

· Move waste from warehouse to dumpsters.

· Responsible for quality control and assuring no damaged product is sent out and no damaged raw material is accepted in.

· Keep work area clean.

· All other duties, as assigned

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Education & Experience

o High School diploma or GED

o 2 years of similar shipping related experience (preferred)

o ERP experience (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

o Capable of working independently to manage day-to-day tasks

o Beginner user type understanding of the Microsoft Office 365 & Suites: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook

o Familiarity with an ERP solution (i.e. SAP, Sage, Microsoft Dynamics ERP, etc.)

o Creativity in approaching complex challenges and problems

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

o Ability to work effectively with team members who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines and communication styles

o Strong interpersonal and leadership skills; written and oral communication

o Ability to handle a multitude of different situations; sometimes simultaneously

o Strong organizational and time-management skills, including ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

o Humble and willing to seek knowledge without hesitation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
