Job Description
Turner & Townsend is an independent professional services company specialising in programme management, project management, cost and commercial management and advisory across the real estate, infrastructure and natural resources sectors. Our Infrastructure Division is involved in some of the world’s most exciting capital development programmes, including aviation, rail, water, nuclear and power.
Due to continued growth, our Infrastructure team are seeking a Site HSE Manager for one of are leading utility clients in Ireland.
About you:
You will be working under the Project HSE manager, guiding Contractors and subcontractors in their prevention efforts on his/her batch (inductions, training, risk assessment, event investigation.)
- Review all HS&E documentation issued by Contractor and Subs on his/her batch
- Conduct Site HS&E inductions for personnel
- Attend construction monthly progress meetings
- Support the batch leader in organising “HSE events” with companies (awareness-raising, feedback, safety briefings) and run HSE awareness-raising sessions
- Conduct HSE visits across all batches that fall within their remit on a weekly basis
- Monitor waste streams until elimination and transportation of dangerous goods
- Make sure Contractors roll out their emergency preparedness and response plans on safety & environment
- Ensure Contractors report their KPI on a monthly basis
- Ensure Safety coordination requirements are put in place properly
- Mobilise additional HSE expertise when required
Qualifications
- Experienced in the provision of PSCP services – Essential
- Experienced in OHSAS 18001 Safety Management Systems - Desirable
- Multi-sector construction experience – Desirable
- Full driving licence - Essential
- Construction Industry Federation Safety Management CPD Card Holder – Essential
- Proficient with MS Office, file management systems - Essential
