POSITION SUMMARY


The purpose of this role is to lead the Zoetis Tallaght site and focus on key role deliverables to ensure sustainable site management, by aligning to the site vision: Safety first, Quality always.

A pragmatic and motivational leader to deliver consistently high-quality products that meet our customer service levels, meeting the required Quality, Environmental and Safety compliance standards while successfully increasing site capacity through a series of efficiency improvement, operational excellence and CAPEX programs.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES


Responsible for the operations of the Tallaght Site and respect of the policies and goals established by Zoetis GMS.

  • Deliver both the short and long term goals of the plant in alignment with the GMS strategy and objectives
  • Guarantee production activities compliant with local legislation and Regulatory guidelines.
  • Continuously improve plant competitive position in terms of EHS performance, customer satisfaction and production cost.
  • Prepare and respect annual budgets aligned with GMS targets.
  • Prepare and update plans to meet long range strategic company goals in terms of production volumes, technologies and quality standards.
  • Ensure colleague training and development to support succession planning and stimulate colleague engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with Zoetis accounting policies, FCPA policies and Zoetis Quality Standards.
  • Active collaboration/relationship with GMS overall.
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the site.
  • Develop and execute operating plans that lead to the achievement of the site and product goals.
  • Provide direction and leadership for all site operations including but not limited to: Manufacturing, Quality Operations, Materials Management, Technical Services, Engineering and EHS.
  • Communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including the company's supply network, external suppliers, local community and political entities, colleagues, and customers.
  • Actively and proactively work across the GMS network to optimize overall Zoetis performance.
  • Develop and maintain an effective organization through effective selection, training, leadership and management.
  • Support and foster operational excellence across all functions.
  • Ensure ethics and integrity through compliance / risk management.
  • Make effective financial and operational decisions to positively impact both short and long-term site goals,
  • Create, establish and maintain an environment that encourages teamwork, empowerment and commitment at the site.

Key objectives of this role include:

1. Achievement of production plans

2. Customer service levels

3. Product and process quality

4. Compliance to regulatory and Company quality procedures

5. Environmental, Health and Safety requirements

6. Productivity and continuous improvement metrics (specifically forecast and inventory)

7. Collaboration with the rest of the Company's Manufacturing network, and all relevant internal stakeholders

8. The overall performance of Zoetis and the achievement of the Company's strategic objectives

9. Employee satisfaction and engagement

10. Reputation of the site and the Company in the local community

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE


With a scientific academic background in a relevant subject and robust (15 years +) pharmaceutical manufacturing experience, the ideal candidate will bring strong sterile manufacturing knowledge and technical skills combined with demonstrated leadership ability, robust collaboration qualities and a sharp sense of business strategy.

Currently sitting in a senior industrial operations position in the Pharmaceutical / Healthcare industry and fully familiar with international Quality, Compliance and Regulatory standards, s/he will have a proven track-record of consistent delivery in a complex, global and matrixed environment. Experience of leading a sterile manufacturing department is essential. The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate an extensive understanding of sterile aseptic manufacturing and related compliance requirements for this role.

Displaying a high degree of independence and initiative, s/he will be self-motivated and resourceful, with proven experience in managing high-performing, dynamic teams to the highest standards of delivery while at the same time actively collaborating in a global network. Having worked in organisations that had a strong focus on efficiency and productivity, s/he will have a track-record of leading large-scale improvement initiatives with determination and a strong inclination towards operational excellence.

With a mature and wise personality, s/he will bring sufficient credibility and gravitas to the role in order to become a trusted leader. Ideally used to working in performance-driven companies, s/he will be a broad leader who sees "the big picture".
