The Synchronoss Site Reliability Engineer is responsible for building and maintaining a high capacity infrastructures while fostering professional relationships with corporate clients during all phases of the client life-cycle. From build-out, deployment, to ongoing client support. They will create, and maintain all documentation needed to assure a high level of support.
- In depth knowledge of Linux system administration and support experience.
- Hands on experience including, but not limited to:
- Orchestration and Containerization technologies including Kubernetes and Docker
- AWS experience across the full breadth of AWS technologies.
- Ability to script in at least one of the following: Shell, Ruby, Perl, or Python.
- Linux OS Administration, preferably RedHat/CentOS 7 Enterprise Linux.
- Experience working with and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Bamboo, Spinnaker, etc.)
- Ability to troubleshoot java server applications, Tomcat, Apache, and APIs in distributed environments.
- Working understanding of NFS and storage technologies
- Working with and developing monitoring tools.
- Enjoys learning and adapting to advancing technologies and procedural changes.
- Proven incident and problem solving (troubleshooting) skills with an emphasis on a timely resolution.
- Ability and desire to work in a team environment.
- Excellent verbal, written and analytical skills, with the ability to tailor communication to the intended audience.
- Experience working with ticketing systems.
- Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation.
Who we have in mind::
A self starter technologist with 5+ years of experience building/maintaining enterprise level infrastructures. Must be quick on their feet, have an eye for detail, and be forward thinking. Should have the ability and desire to consume new technologies quickly. Able to work equally well autonomously or as part of a larger team.
It would be great if you had::
- Familiarity with Configuration Management tools (Chef, Ansible, etc.)
- Familiarity with AWS and GCP
- Familiarity with Load Balancing.
- Familiarity with Databases (Oracle, MariaDB, MySql, Cassandra)
- Familiarity with a Monitoring solution (Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, etc.)
