Zions Bancorporation is looking for an experienced Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) to join the Technology Team. The ideal candidate will have several years of accomplished SRE experience at a Bank, or other highly regulated institution. The candidate will focus will be on problem management activities and will focus on improving resiliency of our IT services, preventing incidents, and reducing their impact. Success will include a reduction in overall incidents, improved resiliency, improved actionable application monitoring, a decrease in repeat incidents, and improved mean time to resolution. Zions Bancorporation is headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah and the ideal candidate will be local to the area, or willing to relocate.Responsibilities:
Assist Technology Leadership establish SRE best practices across the enterprise stressing automation, observability, and resiliency.
Help to instill site reliability practices for the enterprise that enable our infrastructure and application delivery teams to continuously improve resilience, while concurrently reducing our risk profile over time.
Contribute and technically lead post incident reviews.
Help instill SRE culture.
Coordinate across a complex organization.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
8+ years’ experience with Application Development, Infrastructure, and Technology Operations.
Experience with metrics that have improved resilience and lowered the overall risk profile over time.
Demonstrated experience with DevOps principles and resiliency design.
Communication skills, both written and oral.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or other related field.
Experience in a highly regulated environment a plus.
SAFe delivery experience a plus.
Location:
This position has a hybrid work from home schedule with a minimum of three days per week in the office at the Zions Technology Center in Midvale, UT.
The Zions Technology Center is a 400,000-square-foot technology campus in Midvale, Utah.
