A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Site Shift Lead at our new state of the Art single use Multiproduct Biotech facility.

The role will work in a manufacturing self-directed shift team leading a team of manufacturing, engineering, automation, utilities, facilities and quality team members who are responsible for the day to day shift operations at the site. The manufacturing teams work with a “Safety First, Quality Always” mindset striving for continuous improvement. The manufacturing teams are connected to our global manufacturing network to ensure the highest quality of raw materials, intermediates and finished products.

The successful candidate will work across the site self-directed work teams and hub teams to identify and resolve issues to deliver batch operations successfully, in order to allow the site to deliver for our patients in a culture that supports Quality, EHS, Learning and Continuous improvement. Reporting to the Associate Director of Manufacturing Operations, this role is a critical role on the manufacturing leadership team as well as the site lead designee in the off hours. The Site Shift Lead will be an active member within the cross functional Integrated Process Team providing support, guidance and expertise to ensure the success of the facility.

• Drive the delivery of manufacturing operations, leading the agile team in the production of biologic drug substance, taking responsibility for the day to day shift operations at the site while collaborating across the Self-Directed Work Teams and Hubs to deliver the site objectives.
• Focusing on delivery to the patient through living the Dunboyne culture including a commitment to safety, focusing on right first time in everything we do and concentrating on the engagement and development of self and peers.
• Trouble shooting and problem solving in conjunction with the ability to lead the self-directed work teams.
• Guide approved projects and continuous improvement initiatives that are in alignment with the site strategies.
• Build an inclusive open feedback culture, exhibiting strong People lead capabilities in building and developing both direct and indirect reports across the value stream.
• The site shift lead will provide short term tactical management for ERT management, Facilities focused activities and Permitting.

What skills you will need:

• A science qualification in a technical, engineering or science-based discipline or equivalent, a masters is desirable and 5 years technical experience.
• Proven leader capability in developing people and teams with a demonstrated ability in mentoring others to achieve outstanding results, with at least 3 years’ experience leading teams to successful outcomes.
• Proven ability around working cross functionally, focusing on meeting and tracking to schedules and embracing an interdependent work culture.
• Thorough knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and general technical and biologic operations understanding needed.
