Job Title: Smart Grid Command Center Engineer
Location: Columbus, OH
Duration: Full Time

Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor core alerts for all operating companies for their AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure), DACR (Distribution Automation Circuit Reconfiguration) and VVO (Volt/VAR optimization) Telecom Networks
• Monitor using specific Network Monitoring Software – Telenium, Solar Winds
• Co-ordinate with IT Infrastructure and Network Monitoring teams.
• Coordinate with operating unit teams
• Coordinate with AMI Vendor as needed.
• Support sustainability of security control framework and audit management processes.
• Experience on managing AMI and DACR, and VVO Networks
• Administration of access point, routers, collectors, ebridges, line regulators, relays, reclosers
• Hands on experience on Cisco devices.
• Hands on experience of network monitoring tools like Solarwinds, Telenium Spectra, Service now and Netcool.

• Infrastructure Process and Reporting

• Monitor for any network issues reported by AMI Vendor.
• Ticket assignment based on incident categorization.
• Update ticket status upon resolution.
• Support Troubleshooting work being done by Operating Unit teams.
• DACR and VVO Network Monitoring
• Monitor alerts from networking devices in the DACR and/or VVO networks.
• Monitor for any network issues reported by Grid Operations (through PowerOn or PI System).
• Ticket assignment based on incident categorization.
• Update ticket status upon resolution.
• Support Troubleshooting work being done by Operating Unit teams.
• Identify and troubleshoot poor or non-communicating network.
• Identify discrepancies between asset and radio configuration information vs. what the radio is reporting from the field.
• Analyze the information and determine the next steps.
• Create an Incident for the network asset or network device and assign it to the respective owner.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
