In the role of Snowflake Data Engineer, you will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design. You will play an important role in creating the high level design artifacts. You will also deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty. Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education
• Candidate must be located within the commuting distance of Austin, TX or be willing to relocate to this location within 8 weeks of onboarding. This position may require travel in the US and Canada
• At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology
• Experience in designing and developing ETL large scale data pipelines
• Proficient in writing complex SQLs, expertise in performance tuning of SQLs
• Good experience with Python scripting and programming
• Hands-on experience in Snowflake database

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to play a Techno Functional role
• Hands on experience in database, table design and strong BI background
• Working experience with large volumes of data would be an advantage
• Experience in leading offshore database engineers is desirable
• Hands-on development, with a willingness to troubleshoot and tackle complex problems
• Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple collaborator environment and in a Global delivery environment
• Ability to communicate complex technology solutions to teams with multifaceted strengths namely, technical, business and management team

The job may entail extensive travel. The job may also entail sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Candidates should be able to effectively communicate by telephone, email, and face to face.
